I found it in some complex Reddit thread (buried later than 7 explanation deep below an ad for crypto). Its not upon the App Store, but their site walks you through a workaround. Sketchy? A little. But it works.
Pros:

No watermarks.

Saves in HD. Legit 1080p+.

Audio stays in sync (youd be surprised how rare that is).

Cons:

Annoying setup.

Ugh. Im torn. upon one hand, I get it. We want to save that reel. play in it to friends. Watch offline. maybe meme it later.
But creators deserve credit. correspondingly here’s my rule: I and no-one else download Reels if Im using them personally. Never reposting. Never monetizing. Just hoarding, tbh.

Weird trick I found. You glue the Reel URL into IGReelTXT, and it spits out a .txt file subsequent to the audio link, thumbnail URL, and a hidden MP4 file link. Its in the manner of IGs debug data or something.
